Acts 24

Today we are reading Acts 24. In this chapter we read about Paul on trial while he is being held in prison at Caesarea. The Jewish leaders have followed Paul from Jerusalem to present their case against Paul to Governor Felix. The keyword for this chapter is “ka-tay-go-re-o”. The definition is “to accuse, to bring a legal accusation against someone.” This is the word used to describe the Jews accusations against Paul. The spokesman Tertullus, presents his case in a formal recognized order. The problem is, he has no proof.  Nothing sticks and the Governor is not impressed. So it is with the devil’s attempts to accuse us.  As we confess our sins, God forgives us and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.  The devil no longer has a basis for accusing us.  Nothing sticks and our Heavenly Father ignores the devil’s accusations.  You are forgiven and free!  May God bless you today and every day to have His perfect peace!  Pastor Tim
