Acts 10

Today we are reading Acts 10. In this chapter we read about Peter’s ministry in Joppa and Caesarea and especially his ministry to Cornelius. “When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I too am a man.” And as he talked with him, he went in and found many persons gathered. And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.

So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:25-28, 34-35‬ ‭ESV‬‬ For Jews, any association with non-Jews or Gentiles, was forbidden. This is how Jews were raised. In this chapter we see that God breaks down the barrier and opens the door for everyone to believe. What barriers do you have in your heart? Who would you feel uncomfortable sharing the Gospel with? May God break down every barrier that hinders people from coming to Jesus. Pastor Tim
