2 Timothy 3

Today we are reading 2 Timothy 3. In this chapter we read about difficulties that believers will face in the end times. Paul urges young Timothy to remain steadfast in his faith. “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:12-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ It is clear, from what God showed Paul, that in the end times things will go from bad to worse. In spite of this we are called to stand firm in our faith by continuing to study God’s word. His word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword. Without His word we will lose our way spiritually. With it, we learn the way of salvation through faith in Jesus. May God bless you to faithfully read and teach His word. Pastor Tim
