Today we are reading 2 Timothy 2. In this chapter Paul talks about the Lord’s servant. “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.” 2 Timothy 2:24-26 ESV We who serve the Lord must have these qualities: not quarrelsome, kind, able to teach, patient, gentle and firm. The goal is to lead people to repentance so they can escape the devil’s trap. It’s difficult to maintain these attitudes when under fire. God will give you strength to do them. The salvation of those we serve is on the line. Pray diligently for the person you are reaching out to. Pastor Tim
