Today we are reading 2 Thessalonians 3. In this chapter we read about Paul asking the Thessalonians to pray for him in the proclamation of the Gospel. “Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 ESV
How many times when you have attended church did you pray for the pastor? As you prepare for worship, take a moment to pray that God would give the pastor the right words and that the hearts of the people would be open to the word of God. Consider your church, what situations or activities need prayer? How can you be part of God’s answer to that prayer? May you lift up God’s servants today as the Holy Spirit brings them to mind.
