2 Thessalonians 1

Today we are reading 2 Thessalonians 1. In this chapter we read about Paul cheering on the Christians of Thessalonica as they endure persecution and affliction. The keyword for this chapter is “eu-cha-ris-te-o”. The definition is, “to be grateful, to feel thankful, to give thanks.” This word is used 37 times in the New Testament including two times in 2 Thessalonians. “We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭ESV How loving of Paul to give thanks for the spiritual growth of his fellow believers! Who and what do you give thanks for?  If you woke up today with only the things for which you thanked God yesterday, could you survive? May God fill you with the the Holy Spirit so that you may overflow with thanksgiving and praise to Him! Pastor Tim
