Today we are reading 2 Samuel 15. In this chapter we read about Absalom plotting to steal the kingship from David.“And a messenger came to David, saying, “The hearts of the men of Israel have gone after Absalom.” Then David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, “Arise, and let us flee, or else there will be no escape for us from Absalom. Go quickly, lest he overtake us quickly and bring down ruin on us and strike the city with the edge of the sword.”” 2 Samuel 15:13-14 ESV David and those loyal to him make a tactical retreat to avoid war with Absalom and those who want him to be king. Sometimes conflict is unavoidable. Other times it is wise to get out of harms way. How have you sought God’s wisdom in dealing with those who oppose you? May God bless you to be a peacemaker!
