Today we are reading 2 John. In this brief letter we read about the problem of false teachers. The keyword for this chapter is “plan-os”. The definition is “deceiver, one who leads not only to wrong opinion but also to wrong action.” “For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.” 2 John 1:7 ESV Have you ever been lied to? How did it feel? How did the lie impact your life? When someone teaches falsely about Jesus the impact of their lies can be spiritually devastating. The result can be that the deceiver causes people to lose their salvation.
