Today we are reading 2 John. In this chapter we read about being steadfast in our walk with Jesus so that we do not fall prey to deceivers. “I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father. And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it. For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.” 2 John 1:4-7 ESV Have you ever been lied to? What does that feel like? Imagine how God feels when people lie about Him! In our world today many people reject Christianity. God could destroy them all. However, God is gracious and merciful and is patiently waiting to give them an opportunity to believe. We are the ones God wants to use to save the deceived from the fires of Hell. May God give you His patience and love for those who are lost. Pastor Tim
