Today we are reading 2 Corinthians 8. In this chapter we read about about how committed and hard working the missionaries were. The keyword for this chapter is “spou-dai-os”. The definition is “active, diligent, zealous, earnest”. “But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you—see that you excel in this act of grace also. I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine.” 2 Corinthians 8:7-8 ESV What comes to mind when you read that word “earnest”?
