Today we are reading 2 Corinthians 6. In this chapter we read about how we are not to blend in with secular society. “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 ESV I heard recently that Americans believers have been pushing the limits trying to see how secular they can be and still be “Christian”. Think about major trends in our culture today and you will see there is truth in that conclusion. God calls us to stand apart. How have you been tempted to blend in? How can you guard your thoughts, words and choices so that you do not compromise your faith in Jesus? How can you find your way back if you have wandered? May God guide you and guard you every moment of every day. Pastor Tim
