2 Corinthians 13

Today we are reading 2 Corinthians 13. This is the final chapter of Paul’s second letter to the church in Corinth. The keyword for this chapter is “kat-ar-ti-sis”.  The definition is “perfecting, fitting together. It is used in the sense of setting bones or reconciling parties and refers here to the growth in holiness.” “Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭ESV‬‬ we recently witnessed the burning of the Cathedral of Notre Dame. It is estimated the costs for restoration will exceed 1 billion dollars.  Is it worth it?  As Christians, we believe in Jesus as our Savior. The cost of our restoration to a right relationship with God was Jesus’ suffering and death.  Are we worth it? God believes we are! Since we have been restored in our relationship with God, He desires that we seek to be restored in our relationships with others.  Who do you need to be restored with?  “Aim for restoration!”  Pastor Tim
