2 Chronicles 32

Today we are reading 2 Chronicles 32. In this chapter we read about Hezekiah’s response to the threat of Sennacherib. “And he set combat commanders over the people and gathered them together to him in the square at the gate of the city and spoke encouragingly to them, saying, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him, for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people took confidence from the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭32:6-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Hezekiah was under extreme pressure but his faith remained strong. How has God helped you and fought your battles? When have you been dismayed or afraid? Who encouraged you to trust in God? When you compare those who are against you to the power of God, what do you conclude? Do you know anyone who is afraid right now? May God use you to encourage those who are struggling. Pastor Tim
