1 Chronicles 3

Today we are reading 1 Chronicles 3. In this chapter we read about the descendants of David. “These are the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelite; the second, Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite, These were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan and Solomon, four by Bath-shua, the daughter of Ammiel; then Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.” ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭3:1, 5-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ David practiced polygamy not because it was acceptable to God but because this was what wealthy men and kings did. If the leader of the nation practices immorality, how does this impact the people? It is rare to find a famous person or powerful person or a leader who is morally pure. Why do you think this is so? May God fill us with courage to be bold witnesses of His truth. Pastor Tim
