2 Chronicles 27

Today we are reading 2 Chronicles 27. In this chapter we read about King Jotham. “Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok. And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord according to all that his father Uzziah had done, except he did not enter the temple of the Lord. But the people still followed corrupt practices.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:1-2‬ ‭ESV‬‬ King Jotham’s short reign was marked by faithfulness in a time of social and spiritual corruption. He remained faithful in spite of what was going on around him. Throughout history God’s people have faced this same struggle. The shining example of steadfast believers is a beacon of hope in a world of despair. How are you shining the light of the Gospel today? May you be a source of eternal comfort to your friends and neighbors. Pastor Tim
