Today we are reading 1 Samuel. In this chapter we read about Saul being chosen as the first king of Israel. “Now the day before Saul came, the Lord had revealed to Samuel: “Tomorrow about this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He shall save my people from the hand of the Philistines. For I have seen my people, because their cry has come to me.” When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord told him, “Here is the man of whom I spoke to you! He it is who shall restrain my people.”” 1 Samuel 9:15-17 ESV Notice how God revealed to Samuel what was about to happen. God knows the future and reveals it to His chosen servants whom we call “prophets”. God uses the prophets to teach and guide His people. How does God teach and guide you? You can trust God with your future. He will supply everything you need. You need never fear and you never need to trust in anything but God.
