Today we are reading 1 Peter 1. In this chapter Peter writes about the fact we are called to be Holy. The keyword for this chapter is “di-a-noi-a”. The definition is “mind. The word refers to more than the mere intellectual faculties and indicates that which guides and directs conduct. This is a call for the readers to be alert and ready in their whole spiritual and mental attitude.” “Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”” 1 Peter 1:13-16 what guides and directs your conduct? How do you prepare your mind for spiritual challenges? What can you do to make yourself Holy? May God bless you to search diligently these things! Pastor Tim
