1 Kings 22

Today we are reading 1 Kings 22. In this chapter we read about Micaiah speaking the truth to the king when all the other prophets lied. “And the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him, “Behold, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king. Let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably.” But Micaiah said, “As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that I will speak.”” 1 Kings‬ ‭22:13-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We are always bound by God to teach the truth. The lying prophets are afraid of the king so they hope to avoid his wrath by lying. How does honesty strengthen the influence of a leader? How does dishonesty set a person up to fail? Dishonesty is often a product of fear. God can help us with our fears. Ask yourself, “What concerns me most?” When you have your answer, dedicate yourself to prayer over this fear. Give it to God and ask Him to replace your fear with confidence. Pastor Tim
