1 Corinthians 6

Today we are reading 1 Corinthians 6. In this chapter we read how God’s word clearly condemns sexual immorality. “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:9-10, 18-20‬ ‭ESV‬‬ In chapter 5 Paul spoke of the sexual sin in Corinth. Now, he speaks to us all. An unrepentant sexually immoral person is excluded from Heaven. This issue cannot be ignored. We must speak the truth in love. Paul urges us to “flee sexual immorality”. What can you do to fight against sexual temptation? The best response is to resist. Don’t just go along with the devil’s schemes. Fight against them and call on God to help you. May God help you to live a sexually pure and decent life. Pastor Tim
