1 Corinthians 3

Today we are reading 1 Corinthians 3. In this chapter we read about divisions in the Corinthian church. “What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:5-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When pride and arrogance enter into a congregation, divisions happen. This is not pleasing to God and in fact it is the work of the devil. How does your pride hinder you spiritually? Paul says, “neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything.” That is reality. If we ever think that we are somehow indispensable to God we are deluded. God can replace us. Humility is essential in all things. Jesus is the Lord of the Church! Help us to serve you with humility Lord. Pastor Tim
