1 Corinthians 11

Today we are reading 1 Corinthians 11. In this chapter we read about about the lack of unity in the church in Corinth. The keyword for this chapter is “skis-ma”. The definition is “division”. “For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you. And I believe it in part, for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:18-19‬  How often are churches divided by politics and sinful arguments! What is it that leads to these divisions? Our own sinful desires—pride and arrogance—create conflict.  What is it that promotes healing? Humility, confession, forgiveness all help resolve conflict. May God bless you to be a peacemaker!  Pastor Tim
