Today we are reading 1 Corinthians 1. In this chapter Paul greets the church in Corinth and immediately chastises them for divisiveness and arrogance. “I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.” 1 Corinthians 1:10 ESV How is it possible to have a group of people and yet have no divisions? The key is humility. In these days of a worldwide pandemic everyone has a different opinion about how things should be handled and everyone thinks they are right! What would happen if we all got on our knees and prayed? What would happen if we asked God to forgive us and to bless our leaders? What would happen if we took it upon ourselves to build bridges of love in our neighborhoods? May God teach us to be humble so that our pride will not hinder the Gospel. Pastor Tim
