Today we are reading 1 Chronicles 4. In this chapter we read about the descendants of Judah. “Jabez was more honorable than his brothers; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.” 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 ESV God was pleased with Jabez’ prayer because he prayed in faith. He blessed and protected Jabez from pain and harm. When you pray with a strong faith and a firm conviction God honors your prayer and blesses you. How has God blessed you in your life? What can you expect from God in the future? What is your greatest fear/need right now? Can God take care of that which causes you anxiety? May God bless you with the faith of Jabez! Pastor Tim
