Today we are reading 1 Chronicles 24. In this chapter we read about David organizing the musicians and singers for the Temple.“David and the chiefs of the service also set apart for the service the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who prophesied with lyres, with harps, and with cymbals. The list of those who did the work and of their duties was: Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king.” 1 Chronicles 25:1-2 How does music enhance your worship experience? What are your favorite hymns or praise songs? Have you ever noticed how a hymn you experienced in worship stays with you throughout the day? David had a deep appreciation for music and worship. This appreciation and the Holy Spirit compelled David to write many psalms. Today we are blessed through these works of David. May God use your praise to bless future generations of believers.
